Law enforcement officials have ruled out any indication of foul play in connection with the incident, reported by the sheriff’s office. Caleb Farley, aged 24, renowned as a cornerback chosen by the Tennessee Titans in the 2021 draft, was fortunately not present at home when the explosion occurred.

An additional individual, described as a close friend of Caleb Farley, sustained injuries, according to Greene. Fire authorities encountered him exiting the scene, and they determined that his injuries did not pose a life-threatening risk. The force of the explosion had caused him to suffer a concussion, Greene noted.

Residing in the dwelling was Robert Farley. Remains were discovered amidst the wreckage at approximately 4:30 a.m., as relayed by Greene.

Titans’ head coach, Mike Vrabel, shared his and the team’s sentiments for Farley and his family. Emphasizing the significance of extending unwavering support to them. Vrabel addressed reporters, underlining the team’s commitment to being there for Caleb and his family in this challenging time.

A local resident, in communication with NBC affiliate WCNC in Charlotte, recounted that the explosion transpired around midnight and reverberated through their own residence.

The explosion’s cause is currently undergoing investigation. Positioned approximately 25 miles north of Charlotte, the town of Mooresville, with a population of about 50,000, is the location of this tragic incident.
