The 2024 GMC Hummer EV 3X Pickup truck has always been an impressive vehicle. That is boasting a remarkable range of up to 355 miles on a single charge. It garnered further admiration with its exciting features such as:

  • The Watts to Freedom launch mode
  • CrabWalk capability
  • Expandability through virtual auxiliary switches.

However, General Motors’ engineers’ determination to surpass expectations led to the development of a new 24-module battery pack for the Hummer EV 3X Pickup. This innovative enhancement enables the truck to achieve an impressive nearly 400 miles of range on a single charge.

With its exceptional range of 381 miles under ideal conditions, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV 3X Pickup emerges as a strong competitor to the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R, which offers a full range of 432 miles. Despite the F-150 Raptor R’s powerful 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine and comparable pricing and performance, it’s important to consider the effort required to fill its substantial 36-gallon tank.

Hummer EV 3X

The extended range of Pickup is made possible by the introduction of an optional 24-module battery pack. However, if you opt for the Extreme Off-Road package, which includes 35-inch mud, the range slightly decreases. Instead of 381 miles, the range becomes 359 miles. Nonetheless, this still exceeds the range of the standard 2023 GMC Hummer EV 3X Pickup by four miles. It also surpasses the range of a similarly equipped truck from 2023 by 30 miles.

Regarding the charging port, while many automakers are transitioning to the Tesla-designed NACS charging port. That 2024 GMC Pickup will not adopt it. General Motors plans to switch to the NACS charger port by 2025. But for the 2024 GMC Hummer EV, it will still feature the SAE J1772 CCS Combo charger.
